Meienberg above Rapperswil at Lake Zurich, also known as "Meyenberg" or "Meienberggut," is a conglomerate terrace above Rapperswil-Jona on
Lake Zurich, in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and is situated 487 m above sea level. The location is 2.3 km northeast of the Rapperswil train station and has fruit, wine, and meadow cultivation.
First mentioned in the chronicle of Aegidius Tschudi, who describes how in 1443 during the Old Zurich War, Urner, Zuger, and Glarner troops set up camp "outside the church at Kempraten / behind the Büchel by the Meienberg above Rapperswil / where the road from Rüte leads in."
