Pointe du Tsaté (3078m)

The Pointe du Tsaté is a mountain between the valley of Moiry (Val d'Anniviers) and Val d'Hérens with a fantastic view over the two valleys.

The hike starts at the parking lot past the Moiry lake in Val d'Anniviers, in summer this parking lot can be full but if you arrive early there should be place to park. The destination can also be reached from the other valley (Val d'Hérens).

From the parking lot we head towards the direction of Lac de la Bayenna and Col du Tsaté (2868m). Not much difficulty along the trail towards the col. Once arrived at the col, we descend a bit and at a small crossing point we take the path to the right which leads up the mountain to a small col. Now it will get a bit tricky, this part up to the Lac du Tsaté is not marked and the trail is easily lost in the grass and rocks. Some stone men can guide you a bit, but still not that easy. You should alk to the right of a small hill along the more flat part until you reach the lake and cross the water where the trail is visible again.
From the lake we ascend to the summit itself, it will take you along the ridge to the summit where a tremendous view awaits.
