Description by the author

The new Heida Trail is a unique hike through Europe’s highest vineyard! There are 40 panels along the trail providing information on Visperterminen history and viniculture. The first part of the hike leads through the historic part of Visp to Bächji with breathtaking views to the vineyards. From Bächji the route continues to Unterstalden, where hikers can visit the St. Jodern Cellars for wine tasting. The trail then leads directly through the vineyards to reach the highest vines. The final leg leads from Oberstalden to the village.
