Route description
From the top of the cable car, head downhill towards Léchereuse, first taking the road and then following a trail through the meadow. Grassy and rocky, but not terribly technical, you won't even need to do much pedalling if you let gravity do its work.
This route leaves from the top of the Champéry / Croix de Culet cable car. From here, take a minute to admire the breathtaking views your vantage point offers over the Dents du Midi and the Dents Blanches mountain ranges, then head down the gravel road that cuts across the Culet pasture until you meet up with the route de Planachaux. Follow this road to Léchereuse, which is at the same altitude as the Grand Conche chairlift and the Ripaille and Léchereuse drag lifts. The singletrack trail starts on your right, heading down along the Seumon river. The trail crosses the route de Planachaux once, then continues for another 600 metres before catching up with the route de Planachaux again. At this point, take the route de Planachaux back to Champéry.
Arriving from Brig or Geneva, take the Simplon line to Aigle and then take the AOMC regional train to Champéry.
From the A9 motorway, take the St-Triphon exit in the direction of the Portes du Soleil via Collombey, Troistorrents, Val d'Illiez and finally Champéry.
Parking is possible directly at the cable car in Champéry.
We recommend: bike in excellent working order, helmet, gloves and bell, clothing suitable for the weather (always carry a waterproof), food and drink.
Use marked bike trails and routes only, and observe all signposting. Please close gates after passing through. Please be considerate to walkers and to plants and animals. As a rule, walkers have priority. When planning, take into account participants’ fitness level and ability. All riding is at one’s own risk.
