Baden-Baden or Steinbach is one of Germany's most famous spa towns and has primarily focused on tourism. You will find prominent hotels, wellness and spa facilities, and a city center with chic clothing stores and charming shopping streets. Proudly standing in a Kurpark in the middle of the center is the 200-year-old casino, where formal attire is required. For a magnificent view over the Rhine plain and the Vosges, you must climb the castle ruins from 1102. Additionally, in Baden-Baden, you will find the Theater am Goetheplatz, one of the largest opera houses in the world with 2,650 seats. The rose garden with 300 different roses from 1909 is also worth a visit, and in the market, there is a beautiful Catholic collegiate church from 1220.
