Now this may be an interesting theater, but the stone to the left of the entrance, the one with that green coating, that's what this is about. This memorial stone for Marinus van der Lubbe was placed here in 2000 by two Dutch artists. There is a fragment of a poem on it that this young anti-fascist wrote while imprisoned in Germany. This artwork consists of a total of three identical stones. It is the same type of stone from which the Reichstag is built. One copy is located in Leiden, the birthplace of Van der Lubbe, and the third is located in Leipzig, where he was killed.
