Löptin is a municipality in the Barkauer Land region in the district of Plön in Schleswig-Holstein. The localities of Behnkenmühlen, Fischkroog, and Hohenwühren, as well as Preetzer Straße and Kührener Brücke, are located within the municipality.
Löptin is situated approximately 16 km northeast of Neumünster and about 8 km southwest of Preetz along federal highway 404 from Kiel to Bad Segeberg and at Lake Löptin.
