Hohenhorn is a municipality in the district of Herzogtum Lauenburg in Schleswig-Holstein, east of Hamburg. The locality of Drumshorn is located in the municipality.
The village is first documented in the Ratzeburg tithe register of 1230 under the Latin name "ad cornu". The Middle Low German equivalent of the place name is "Horn", "tom Horne". The term Horn refers to a projection or elevation in the terrain. In more recent times, the name Hohenhorn has become established.
