Oppach is a Saxon municipality in the district of Görlitz and lies on the federal highways 96 and 98 right on the border with North Bohemia. Along with the neighboring town of Beiersdorf, Oppach forms an administrative community.
Oppach is located in the valley of the Beiersdorfer Water, which leaves the town in the Alten Graben. To the east, at the municipal boundary to Neusalza-Spremberg, and to the north, bordered by the Flößchen, there is a forest area called "Großer Wald".
