Lehe is the northernmost municipality in the Dithmarschen district in Schleswig-Holstein. It is closely connected spatially, economically, and historically with the neighboring municipality of Lunden.
The municipal territory of Lehe extends along the bend of the Eider River from east to south below Friedrichstadt in the area between Lunden in Dithmarschen and Witzwort or Oldenswort on the North Frisian side on the southern/eastern riverbank at the transition of the Donn from Lunden in the north of the natural area Dithmarscher Marsch.
