Utecht is a municipality in the west of the district of Northwest Mecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The municipality is administered by the Rehna office based in the town of the same name.
The municipality of Utecht is located between Lübeck and Ratzeburg, on the northeastern shore of the Great Ratzeburg Lake. The lakeshore also marks the border to Schleswig-Holstein. The area rises from the Ratzeburg Lake further east to 82 m above sea level.
