Kesseling is a municipal community in the district of Ahrweiler in Rhineland-Palatinate. It belongs to the collective municipality of Altenahr.
Kesseling is located eight kilometers southwest of the town of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler in the valley of the Kesseling stream. It originates in the village from the confluence of Herschbach and Staffeler Bach and flows into the Ahr four kilometers west of Ahrbrück. In terms of natural geography, the municipality can be assigned to the Southern Ahrbergland, characterized by deeply carved, widely branching valleys. To the south, the municipality extends over the Kesseling Forest and reaches its highest point at Hundsburgskopf, which is 583 m above sea level. With an area of more than 31 km², Kesseling is the largest municipal community within the collective municipality of Altenahr.
