Marxloh is a Duisburg district in the Hamborn district with 21,530 inhabitants. It formerly belonged to the Hamborn district, which was united with the Duisburg district in 1929.
The place name is derived from Mersch for wet pasture land and Loh for high forest. Mersloe or Merxloe became Marxloh from the 17th century.
