The Wuppertal residential district Cronenberg-Mitte is one of seven districts in the district of Cronenberg. The residential area is the historical center of the former independent town of Cronenberg.
The residential quarter covers an area of 5.91 km² and is located in the southern part of Wuppertal. In the northeast, the area borders the Cronenberger residential district of Cronenfeld. In the east, Cronenberg-Mitte borders the neighboring town of Remscheid. To the south is the district of Berghausen, in the southeast it is bordered by the streets Nettenberg and Rheinbach, and to the south by the route of the Bergische Museumsbahnen. In the southwest, Cronenberg-Mitte borders the residential district of Kohlfurth. The western boundary is formed by the valley of the Wupper, which simultaneously serves as the city border to the neighboring town of Solingen.
