The residential building at Friedrich-Engels-Allee 140 was a listed building on Friedrich-Engels-Allee in Wuppertal's Unterbarmen. By the 2010s, the house was in such poor condition that it could no longer be economically renovated and was therefore demolished.
The two-storey residential building, measuring approximately 10.8 × 13 meters, was built in half-timbered style. Between 1850 and 1861, the residential building Friedrich-Engels-Allee 142 was added directly to the east facade. The five-axis façade facing the street, the north side of the building, was finished with slate, similar to the west facade. The ground floor on the façade side featured a centrally located entrance, which was accessed by a five-step external staircase. The hip roof had a gable in classical style on the façade side, and there was a roof dormer on the rear side of the roof. The windows had shutters.
