Graurheindorf is a district of the federal city of Bonn in the district of the same name. It is located in the north of Bonn and is bordered by the Rhine River and the districts of Bonn-Castell and Auerberg. Graurheindorf has belonged to the city of Bonn since 1809.
The first mention of Rindorp dates back to 1131, when the church and castle were first mentioned in a document. Around 1230, a monastery of the Cistercian nuns was founded here. In 1689, Graurheindorf Castle was destroyed and rebuilt in 1755 in its present form as a manor house. Michael Leveilly, who also created the Bonn town hall, is suspected to be the master builder. Estermannstraße follows the course of the Roman military road, and the buildings along this road are one of the rare surviving examples of a Franconian street village.
