Linked to the size of the Bürgerpark is a story of a cripple. The countess wanted to donate a piece of land to the people of Bremen. To define the size of the piece of land, she said that it would be the plot a cripple can walk around on one day. You can see the cripple at the feet of Roland in front of the Town Hall.
