The Olsberg near Olsberg in the North Rhine-Westphalian Hochsauerlandkreis is a 703.8 m above sea level northern spur of the Heidkopf in the Rothaargebirge. It is the location of the Olsberg transmitter.
The Olsberg lies in the northern foothills of the Rothaargebirge directly southeast of the core town of Olsberg with its eastern location Gierskopp. Its summit rises 3 km west-northwest of Elleringhausen, 3.5 km north-northwest of Bruchhausen, 4 km north of Assinghausen and 3.3 km north-northeast of Wulmeringhausen; they are all Olsberg districts. It is part of a north-south mountain range, with the Olsberg in the north and the Heidkopf in the south, which separates the Ruhr from its eastward tributary, the Gierskoppbach.
