Ferchel is a desert in the Hellberge Mountains in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
Already at the first mention in 1473, the Ferchen was the desert village of Verchen, i.e. a desert village site. It lies on the northeast side of the Stufenberge, which belongs to the Hellberge, on the field of Zichtau. 600 meters south of the village of Zichtau are narrow pieces of farmland, the farms or Wischhöfe and in front of the farms are called, the wooded terrain adjoining to the west is called Ferchel or Verchel or im Verchel, so this is where the old village was located.
