The Ahr is a river in Germany. The source is located in the Eifel mountains at about 520 meters above sea level in Blankenheim. Here, the river springs from the cellar of a half-timbered house near the Blankenheim castle. After 18 kilometers, the river leaves the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and flows into Rhineland-Palatinate.
