The Dreizehnlindenhaus was built in 1794 as a new inn of the Prince-Bishopric of Corvey and is now located in the East Westphalian town of Höxter in North Rhine-Westphalia. It lies west outside the monastery walls of Corvey and served as an inn long after the end of the diocese.
In connection with this change, a large new building was built in 1794 at the end of the road from Höxter to Corvey. The building served as a hotel, casino, guest house and wine trading house. It was called the New Inn.
