The Beyenburger Reservoir is one of the smallest dams in the Bergisches Land and is operated by the Wupperverband.
The reservoir is located about eight kilometers southeast of Wuppertal-Barmen, directly at the Wuppertal district of Beyenburg. It lies in the valley of the Wupper, which is dammed here and is thus by far the most important tributary of the reservoir. In addition, some small streams flow into the reservoir, such as the Spreeler Bach. The cities of Wuppertal, Ennepetal, and Radevormwald border the reservoir.
