The Social Court of Schleswig is a court of social jurisdiction. The court is one of four social courts in Schleswig-Holstein.
It is locally responsible for the city of Flensburg, the district of Schleswig-Flensburg, the district of Nordfriesland, and since April 1, 2011, it has also been responsible again for the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde. The jurisdiction area is about 6400 km² large. Approximately 723,000 inhabitants live in this area. The subject matter jurisdiction is derived from the Social Court Act.
