The Tremoniapark is a green and recreational area located on the site of the former ironworks "Carl von Born" south of the former Tremonia coal mine and the Rothe Erde in Dortmund, which continued to be used as a testing pit long after coal mining ceased. Tremonia is also the Latin term commonly used in the Middle Ages for the city of Dortmund. The park is one of the typical examples of structural change in Dortmund.
