Marie-Curie Gymnasium in Wittenberge

The Marie-Curie Gymnasium in Wittenberge was founded in 1895 and is a member of the MINT-EC. It is housed in two buildings, both classified as historical monuments.
The high school was founded on January 24, 1895 as a private higher school for boys. On April 20, 1900, the Realschule building in Sandfurttrift, which had been built for 100,000 marks in just over a year, was ready for occupancy. For cost reasons, the construction of a gymnasium and a few classrooms was initially abandoned. These were not added until 1913. That year, the school was also recognized as a full-fledged reform secondary school.
