Le gymnase Marie-Curie de Wittenberge a été fondé en 1895 et est membre du MINT-EC. Il est logé dans deux bâtiments, tous deux classés monument historique.
Le lycée a été fondé le 24 janvier 1895 en tant qu’école privée supérieure pour garçons. Le 20 avril 1900, le bâtiment de la Realschule à Sandfurttrift, qui avait été construit pour 100 000 marks en un peu plus d’un an, était prêt à être occupé. Pour des raisons de coût, la construction d’un gymnase et de quelques salles de classe a d’abord été abandonnée. Ceux-ci n’ont été ajoutés qu’en 1913. Cette année-là, l’école a également été reconnue comme une école secondaire de réforme à part entière.
