Sculpture Park Magdeburg

The Magdeburg Sculpture Park is a collection of sculptures from the Museum of Art Kloster Unser Lieben Frauen Magdeburg in the Old Town of Magdeburg.
The facility is located in the vicinity of the Kloster Unser Lieben Frauen. The Sculpture Park was established in 1989, simultaneously renaming the National Collection of Small Sculpture of the GDR, managed by the museum, to the National Collection of Sculpture of the GDR. While initially focusing on the immediate surroundings of the monastery, today sculptures are also found in the area north of the Hundertwasser House, along the banks of the Elbe, in the area of the Elbe train station, up to the Magdeburg lift bridge, and in the undeveloped area north of the monastery complex. The sculptures displayed in the park have been continuously supplemented with additional works since 1989, ensuring a diverse representation of contemporary art. A total of about 40 works by various artists are shown.
