Wenceslas Fountain in Naumburg

The Wenceslas Fountain in Naumburg is located in the southeastern part of the market square, not far from the Wenceslas Church, under a lime tree directly in front of the Market Castle, where the district court is located, among other things.

On the round fountain with a diameter of approx. 2-3 metres and a height of approx. 1.20 metres, the bearded patron saint of the city of Naumburg is in armour with a lance and the shield with the city's coat of arms, consisting of a key and a sword. The figure stands on a high pedestal with a Corinthian capital as the base of the statue.
