Volksbank Hildesheim-Lehrte-Pattensen

The Volksbank eG Hildesheim-Lehrte-Pattensen is a German cooperative bank based in Hildesheim. Its business area is located southeast of Hanover and includes 51 branches. The bank is owned by 66,538 members of the cooperative. It was established in 2015 through the merger of Volksbank eG Lehrte-Springe-Pattensen-Ronnenberg with Volksbank Hildesheim eG.
The development of Volksbank eG Hildesheim-Lehrte-Pattensen was diverse. Depending on the local economic transformation towards an industrial society, the demand for medium-sized credit institutions in the regions emerged at very different times starting from the mid-19th century. Numerous locally established cooperatives formed regional banks through multiple mergers starting from the mid-20th century. The Volksbanks of Springe, Ronnenberg, and Lehrte joined the Volksbank in Pattensen in this order between 1990 and 2003, with the name being supplemented each time. At the same time, the Volksbank in Hildesheim grew in a similar manner. From 2000 until the end of 2015, Michael Siegers was the chairman of the board of Volksbank.
