Lichteneck Castle, also known as Liehtenekke, is the ruin of a spur castle on a rocky spur 242 m above sea level, located above Hecklingen, a district of the town of Kenzingen in the Emmendingen district of Baden-Württemberg.
The castle was presumably built between 1265 and 1272 by the Counts of Freiburg and mentioned in 1290 as "Liehtenekke." Lichteneck later came into the possession of the Palatine Counts of Tübingen-Lichteneck. The castle was destroyed in 1433 during the Geroldsecker War, rebuilt in the 16th century, and finally destroyed on April 15, 1675, during the Dutch War by French troops under General Nicolas de Bautru, Marquis de Vaubrun.
