The Desert Church in Domherrenhagen, a deserted village in the district of Moltzow in the district of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, is the last structural remnant of a village that existed there from the 13th to the 15th century.
The place name Domherrenhagen reveals the early history of the site. Due to the suffix -hagen, it was a clearing settlement that, like the nearby Marxhagen, was part of the resources of the cathedral chapter of Güstrow Cathedral. In 1240, the church in Domherrenhagen was gifted 24 hides of forest, and the canons acquired another 20 hides. In 1271, the church became the parish church for the inhabitants of Rambow, where no church yet existed at that time and which had previously been ecclesiastically part of Schwinkendorf. In 1376, a will from Rostock mentions the pilgrimage to the church.
