The Aquarium Wilhelmshaven is a showcase aquarium and museum in the Lower Saxony city of Wilhelmshaven on the Jade Bay along the South Beach promenade. It displays more than 300 species of animals from the Earth's oceans in over 600,000 liters of salt and freshwater. In May 2015, the aquarium was expanded by a prehistoric museum that presents the evolution of life through 500 aquatic fossils. In 2022, another permanent exhibition was opened: Dinosaurs – Giants of the Seas. The Aquarium Wilhelmshaven Bullermeck GmbH operates the aquarium without public subsidies.
