The Dreilägerbachtalsperre is located in Roetgen in the Aachen city region in the North Eifel. It was built for the purpose of drinking water supply and is operated by Wassergewinnungs- und -aufbereitungsgesellschaft Nordeifel, a 50 percent subsidiary of enwor-energie & wasser vor ort GmbH and a 50 percent subsidiary of Stadtwerke Aachen.
