The Fallward is a former village mound in the Land of Wursten, Cuxhaven district. It is especially known for the nearby ancient Saxon burial ground named after it.
The Fallward is located about 2 km south of the well-known mound settlement of Feddersen Wierde on the beach ridge of the Lower Weser in the Wesermarsch. Like the neighboring mounds, it was established as a settlement in the lowland and gradually expanded into a mound hill during the rise in sea levels in the 1st and 2nd centuries AD. Due to increasing storm surges, the Fallward had to be abandoned again in the 5th century.
