St. Jacobi's Church in Lüdingworth, a village that has been part of the German port city of Cuxhaven since 1972, is one of the three so-called Bauerndome in Hadelingen. Of the three peasant cathedrals, St. James' Church has the most ostentatious décor. The church building bears the patrocinium of St. James, whose statue is located next to the pulpit. A window, from which one used to look in the direction of Santiago de Compostela, was bricked up because of a heating extension. The other Bauerndome are the St. Nicholas Church in Altenbruch and the St. Severus Church in Otterndorf.
