Radio Westfalica

Radio Westfalica is a local radio station for the district of Minden-Lübbecke in East Westphalia, Germany. It went on air in Minden in 1991 and received its license from the North Rhine-Westphalia Media Authority. The editor-in-chief is Ingo Tölle.

The local radio station broadcasts fifteen hours of local programming from its studio at the Johanniskirchhof in Minden together with Radio Herford. After test runs in December 2014, the morning show "Die Vier von hier" has been broadcast live from Minden from Monday to Friday from 5 to 10 a.m. since January 5, 2015. Long-time presenters were Oliver Rose, Nadine Hofmeier, Boris Tegtmeier and Jan P. Ehlers alias Pola. All these presenters have gradually left the station since 2021 to realign themselves professionally, or take on other activities there. Since August 1, 2022, there has been a new joint morning show by Radio Westfalica and Radio Herford "CHRISSI & MADLINE - DOUBLE AWAKE!", which will also be broadcast live from Minden from 6 to 10 a.m. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., presenter Christina Wolff will broadcast five hours of regional programming from the studio of Radio Herford. The afternoon show "Von drei bis frei" runs from 3 to 8 p.m. Citizen radio runs daily from 8 to 9 p.m. Broadcasts by school groups run intermittently on Saturdays between 6 and 8 p.m.
Monday to Saturday from 9 p.m. to 12 p.m. and Sundays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the OWL-wide youth program deinfm is broadcast from the Gütersloh studio on Kahlertstraße.
