The mausoleum in the Bückeburg castle park is the burial site of the princely house of Schaumburg-Lippe. It is located in the Bückeburg castle park, about 50 kilometers west of Hanover.
The mausoleum was built between 1911 and 1915 during the reign of Prince Adolf II according to plans by the Berlin architect Paul Baumgarten in the neo-Romanesque style. With a height of 43 m and a width of 27 m, it is the largest mausoleum of its kind in Europe. The construction costs amounted to over one million Marks.
