The Stemweder Open Air Festival is one of the oldest free and outdoor festivals in Germany, which has been held annually since 1976 in the East Westphalian municipality of Stemwede in the district of Minden-Lübbecke. With a total of about 12,000 visitors in the Ilweder Wäldchen and on the surrounding stubble fields and meadows, the festival is considered the largest event of its kind in the East Westphalia-Lippe region and neighboring Lower Saxony.
