The Uhlenbachtal is a nature reserve with a size of about 44.5 ha in the Herford district of Schwarzenmoor. The area with the number HF-017 is named after the Uhlenbach flowing in the valley.
The area is located in the middle of the Ravensberg region, which is characterized by intensive agriculture. Typical for the Ravensberger Land is the character as a widely branched siek system with a box profile. The slope steps are up to 6 meters high. The peripheral areas are home to near-natural beech forests. In the wet grassland in the valley, there are, among other things, cabbage thistle meadows and reeds at intensively used fish ponds and some near-natural small bodies of water.
