Oberhausen Castle is a Neoclassical castle complex in the Oberhausen district of Alt-Oberhausen-Mitte. The estate gave its name to the train station built nearby in 1846 and opened in 1847, and subsequently to the later city of Oberhausen.
A predecessor structure from the 12th/13th century was located about 200 meters away from the current site and has since completely disappeared. After the estate passed from the von Dücker family through the von der Hovens to the von Boenen family in the early 17th century, a new castle was built on the property between 1804 and 1818 according to the plans of the court architect of Count von Bentheim-Steinfurt, August Reinking, for Maximilian Friedrich von Westerholt-Gysenberg and his wife Friederike Karoline von Bretzenheim.
