Southeast of Bergheim-Quadrath-Ichendorf lies the water castle Frens, nestled in a landscape of forests and meadows. Over the centuries, the castle has been expanded into a palace complex and has undergone several redesigns. The last renovation took place in 1850, during which the castle received its current appearance.
