As part of the European Endangered Species Programme, he also keeps kulans and red pandas. The sponsor is the association Tiergarten Kleve e. V. Since January 2021, the qualified veterinarian Martin Polotzek has been managing the 6-hectare park. With the new management, the park is also doing more for endangered wild animals: Maras and armadillos have also been living in the zoo since 2021. A species conservation day was also held for the first time in 2021.
