The Collegiate Church is a provost's church and the parish church of Cleves, Germany. The church has the patrocinium of the Assumption of Mary.
As early as 1170 a church was mentioned near the castle of Cleves. When the city was founded in 1242, this church remained outside the city walls for the time being. From 1425 onwards, a branch church was built in the lower town, with the establishment of a Minorite monastery. Until secularization, this Minorite church was part of the Mariastift. In 1924, the lower town church became an independent parish, the parish of the Conception of Mary. In 1967, this parish church and the collegiate church were elevated to provostship church at the same time, and since then the parish priest has held the title of provost. In 2005, both churches, together with three other churches, were merged to form the new parish of St. Mary's Assumption.
