Slot Wissen is a castle located south of the town of Weeze in the Kreis Kleef. The castle is situated in the far west of Germany, close to the Dutch border. It is a so-called water castle and lies along the river Niers, which flows into the Maas in the Netherlands. Kasteel Wissen has been owned by the Von Löe family for centuries, originally one of the most influential noble families in the Lower Rhine region.
