The Mariagrube station was a train station belonging to Mariadorf, located between the Alsdorf districts of Mariadorf and Alsdorf-Ost in the North Rhine-Westphalian city region of Aachen. From Mariagrube, lines branched off in five directions. The station was designed as a tower station, meaning it was on two levels, and represented the most significant intermediate station on the Aachen Nord–Jülich line until its closure in 1980, where several passenger and freight trains started and ended. Additionally, Mariagrube had a platform on the reactivated Herzogenrath – Alsdorf – Stolberg circular line until 1984, and from Mariagrube, the still-preserved line to Siersdorf and the Emil Mayrisch mine branched off. In the area of the former Mariagrube station, a joint expansion of the euregiobahn and a rapid cycle path along the route of the Aachen Nord–Jülich line is planned for the future.
