The observation tower Taubenberg, located at a height of 81 m, is a wooden framework observation tower on the Taubenberg of the Hinsbecker Heights near Hinsbeck in Nettetal. It was built in 1970 and was originally 15.8 meters high. Due to its poor structural condition, it was closed from the mid-1990s onwards.
In 2005, it was renovated. During this, it was also raised, so that its current height is 28.8 meters. From a height of 15.80 meters, a steel spiral staircase leads to the new observation platform. In 2019, a beam was replaced during renovation work.
From the tower, among other things, the Krickenbecker Lakes and Krickenbeck Castle can be seen; it offers a good view over the Rhine and Maas valleys.
Near the tower is the youth hostel Vierlinden.
