Lübbenau Castle is a Brandenburg neoclassical castle located in the Spree Forest. The building is one of the protected historic buildings of the municipality of Lübbenau. It is now a hotel.
There was a medieval castle in Lübbenau, which was replaced by a Renaissance castle around 1600. The lordship of Lübbenau belonged to the Counts of Lynar, originally from Lombardy, from the beginning of the seventeenth century, when the widow of Count Casimir bought it in 1621. It remained in the family for three centuries. Architect Carl August Benjamin Siegel built the current castle between 1817 and 1820. The Twin Towers were built in 1839. The romantic nine-hectare park was designed in 1820 by the Freschke brothers, after Lenné.
