The Henzendorf Boulder Park is located in the Schlaubetal Nature Park in Brandenburg, southwest of the village of Henzendorf.
The Berlin sculptor Ulrich Thiel was the first director of the Boulder Park. In 1992, at his initiative, work began to create large boulders based on historical templates from artists. A total of 1,000 boulders from the open-pit mining areas of Nochten and Döbern were used as the basis. The copies of Hittite and Celtic art were created by Polish artists Kazimierz Krewniak and Adam Sobiraj. After the first Boulder Park relocated to the heath of Henzendorf, the local landscape maintenance association took over sponsorship in 1997. The crafted stones are spread over four hectares as a permanent loan from the artists. The stones are arranged according to Hittite, Germanic, and Celtic motifs.
