Bischofshagen was a medieval village in the municipality of Gerswalde in the district of Uckermark . The former village site is marked by the Berkenlatten desert church. Today, the former Feldmark of the lost village is home to the newly founded 1714 districts of Böckenberg and Berkenlatten in the municipality of Gerswalde.
The village site of the desert is located north of the settlement of Berkenlatten and is marked by the ruins of the village church of Bischofhagen, the so-called Wüsten Kirche Berkenlatten. The exact location or the boundaries of the Feldmark of the former village are not known. The Feldmark certainly included the areas of the original outworks of Böckenberg and Berkenlatten, and could have reached as far as Arnimswalde. The demarcation from the adjacent Feldmark to the west of the village of Langenhagen, which has also fallen into ruins, is also speculative.
