The village of Gottesgabe is part of Altfriedland, a district of the municipality of Neuhardenberg in the Märkisch-Oderland district, Brandenburg. The administrative matters are handled by the Neuhardenberg office. In 2005, Gottesgabe had 75 inhabitants.
Gottesgabe was purchased in 1304 by the Cistercian nuns of the Friedland monastery as a farm for cattle and sheep breeding. After the secularization of the monastery in the mid-16th century, it remained as landed property of what is now the Friedland manor. During the GDR era, it was operated as an agricultural production cooperative. Agricultural use was discontinued in 1990. The few remaining and dilapidated buildings have since been partially restored.
